At the age of 8 years old, and for the first time in his life, Marc Bochner experienced the feeling of being helpless. He was pushed to the ground by an older, bigger kid, and was completely defenseless. He didn’t know what to do: he wasn’t prepared. Even though he looks back and laughs over the incident (because it started over a girl!) he remembers thinking he never wanted to feel helpless again.
Little did Marc know, this small incident sent him on a journey of learning and self-improvement through the Martial Arts.
Marc credits his martial arts training for not only helping to keep him physically safe but also for his ability to focus and work hard. The lessons he learned from the martial arts helped him achieve his doctorate in physical therapy, write 3 self-defense books, a magazine article that was featured in Black Belt Magazine, and the ability to teach thousands of students throughout New England how to defend themselves through a realistic, simple, and easy to remember approach.
Marc’s mission is to help his students prepare to live happy, healthy, successful, and safe lives.
He and his instructors have worked hard to create a dojo atmosphere and curriculum where kids are encouraged and challenged to become greater versions of themselves, all while having a lot of fun.
All of his focus, dedication, and disciplined helped transform his school into one of the highest rated martial arts schools in all of Rhode Island.
